Tribus Energy BESS Consultation Event - 22nd October 4pm-8pm

Tribus Energy BESS Consultation Event - 22nd October 4pm-8pm

Tribus Energy previously wrote and met the Parish Council, introducing their plans for developing a battery energy storage system (BESS) on land south of Torksey Ferry Road, Cottam. These include off-site flood compensation on land east of Chequers Lane, Laneham.

They are now in a position to move forward with their proposals, with their community consultation commencing. The attached newsletter, which has been sent to local residents, provides an overview of their proposals and more details about how to take part in the consultation.

As part of the public consultation, they will hold a public exhibition event at the following date and time:

Tuesday 22nd October 2024 – (4pm – 8pm)

Rampton Village Hall, Manor Grounds, Rampton, Retford, DN22 0JU

At the exhibition, attendees will be able to view the proposals, speak to members of the project team and submit their consultation feedback.

The information that they present at the public exhibition event will be available to view on our website: https://tribus.energy/project/trent-bess/.

Once their feedback deadline has passed on Friday 8th November 2024, they will review all of the feedback that they have received and will finalise their proposals. They will then submit a planning application to Bassetlaw District Council. They currently expect to do this in winter 2024.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the proposals in further detail, please do not hesitate to get in touch with them on trentbess@secnewgate.co.uk or on 0800 099 6176.
